"The Mix" located on exterior wall of Osco Drug store at Westport and Main; KCMO

Osco Drug requested The Storytellers Inc, Artist Collective to facilitate the painting of a new community mural. The Mix highlights Osco Drug's historical involvement in the development of communities, neighborhoods and families for the past eighty years. The Storytellers Inc., Artist Collective, Jackson County Family Court, Sentenced to the Arts, Combat, KC Futures 150 and Pan-Educational Institute are the collaborative partners of Osco Drug in this community effort to bring young people, families, civil servants and Osco Drug employees together to mix it up in celebration of the Westport Community and Osco Drug.
"Cultural Haven" located on interior wall of Benninghoven Elementary School; Shawnee, KS
Spring 2000
600 elementary students worked with The Storytellers Inc's artists to create a lasting tribute to the cultural diversity of Benninghoven Elementary. For two weeks classes met in the art room to discuss symbols of culture and to transfer those symbols into paint onto five panels that are now posted near the library within the school. The school principal commissioned Storytellers to facilitate the project in an effort to kick off a new curriculum that incorporated cultural education on a daily basis.
